Thursday 8 October: Woke up to a lovely morning at Morning Bay with the sun shining into the cockpit. We left after breakfast and sailed north to get into shelter before the predicted thunderstorm hit with big winds. A day for maintenance of RaRa. We had a lovely morning after a very calm night. Overcast but warm and we had breakfast outside. The rest of the morning was spent fixing the anchor chain and cleaning the cockpit as well as some cleaning inside. Bought a few sore things for the boat at the

A windy night with the wind turning South from midnight. Secure on the mooring and by morning the wind had died down to very little. Cloudy day and cooler than the past days. We left after breakfast and made our way back into Pittwater. Sailed and motored as the wind was all over the place

Monday 5 October 2020, Day 4

A sunny day and we set off on sail towards Hawkesbury river after breakfast. Strong northerly wind to start with and as we sailed further inland it got lighter. Anchored outside Dangar Island and after lunch onboard we took the dinghy to shore. Hard work to row against the tide.

A year with RaRa

27/9: Sunday. We have now had RaRa for a year and we are preparing for our first longer sail, both in time onboard and distances. We also got a new logo for the boat.
