Under Sydney Harbour Bridge

10 Sept, Friday evening: Sanna worked half day today and Oliver (having school from home) had a screen free day today. We arrived at the boat in the afternoon and headed to Store beach where we anchored just in time for sunset.

11 Sept, Saturday: A beautiful morning on anchor. Niclas and Sanna took the dinghy and checked around Store and Colins beaches. After lunch we sailed down the harbour, 5-6 knots of speed, under the harbour bridge and around to Birkenhead point. We planned to stay the night near Berry Island but the anchorage was full. Oliver participated in Swedish lessons, online, onboard as we sailed. We then sailed back east under the Harbour bridge and anchored at Little Sirius point; Whiting Beach.

12 Sept, Sunday: In the night we heard the lions roar at Taronga Zoo as we were anchored just below where they are. Pretty amazing as we are in the city and see across to Sydney CBD. After breakfast we sailed north up the harbour and then out to sea – the wind picked up to gusts of 35 knots, we sailed back with reefed sails and took a mooring at Chinamans beach to wait for the wind to settle down again.

Upon return to MHYC we moved in to a new berth for RaRa, further in on C-arm with blow-on which makes it a lot easier to moor the boat.
