Niclas and Oliver picked up our new headsail and delivered it to the boat. It is a smaller sail than the old one which did not sail well when reefed and as we mostly get winds above 15 knots it is better with a smaller sail.

Sunday 11/4: We arrived at the marina in the morning. The sun was shining with strong Westerly winds gusting above 30 knots. We removed the old headsail and hoisted the new one. It looks great. The wind is cold and we decided to stay in the shelter of the marina for a while before heading out for a short trial sail.
The wind was wild and we just sailed to Balmoral and back testing the new sail out. It worked great.
We then headed towards the spit bridge to wait for the opening and then headed to Sugarloaf bay for the night. In strong W – SW this is a sheltered anchorage. We actually got a pinky and had a nice but chilly evening.
Monday 12/4: school holidays and Sanna had a day off work to help with the delivery of RaRa to the marina that will take her out of the water tomorrow to get her bottom painted. Woke to a sunny but cold morning – had a lovely morning dip, the water is 22 c (and the air 19 with chilly W winds). Niclas working from the boat.
