Thursday 8 October: Woke up to a lovely morning at Morning Bay with the sun shining into the cockpit.
We left after breakfast and sailed north to get into shelter before the predicted thunderstorm hit with big winds. Sailed for a while but then started the engine as the wind died down to almost nothing and straight on the nose as we turned west towards Cowan creek.
Moored up in Yeomans bay on a courtesy mooring and had a lovely afternoon laying around the bot in lovely sunshine. The predicted storm passed south of us and out towards the ocean and we just saw some dark clouds. No wind, rain or thunderstorm to be seen.
After a relaxing afternoon we had a lovely BBQ and dinner outside.
The wind picked up with gusts running into the bay in the late evening and night.
Friday 9 October: Slightly cooler today but clear sky and sunshine. Had a lazy morning before the sun reached the cockpit and we where able to have breakfast outside. Spent the morning taking it easy and then motored further west to Cottage point.
Moored up on the kiosk mooring and rowed in for lunch. After a lovely lazy lunch we went back to the boat and motored west into Smiths creek. Found a courtesy mooring almost as far in as you can go. Wind gusting. A lovely little bay for the night.
