Day 1, Friday 2/10: MHYC to America’s Bay, pittwater
Left the marina at 10.30 after a morning of getting ready, storing stuff, a new fixture on the mast added, fika on the beach.
The trip: Set sails just outside north head as we turned the bow north. Wind around 6 kn and a nice sunny day. Total of 28 nm to America’s Bay. We rounded Barrenjoey headland at 15.40 and then moored on the MHYC bouy in America’s bay. Had a lovely evening onboard.
Said hello to friends heading south, just outside Collaroy. And saw 2 plus 1 whale and five dolphins on the trip up
