27/3 Friday: Got to the boat at 18.00, set out onto the harbour and moored on a pinky in Manly, next to the ferry terminal. BBQ dinner onboard.
28/3 Saturday: A wonderful morning with breakfast onboard. Rowed to shore and went to buy fika at FIKA which we had on the beach. Back on the boat we swam and enjoyed the sunshine. After lunch we sailed south down the harbour- a perfect wind and we found a pinky at Athol bay which we took. Sanctum was anchored nearby and we towed over and said hello – keeping our distance. Dinner onboard.
29/3 Sunday: After a very rainy night with at times very heavy rain, like buckets being thrown at us, we had breakfast in the boat and then sailed off down the harbour. The bay had been very sheltered from the wind and as soon as we sailed around Bradley’s head the wind picked up. 25 knot winds NE and we sailed home on an empty harbour. Not many boats out, just manly ferries and a few fishing boats and 1 or 2 sailing boats. It feels quite surreal.
