This weekend should have been FRC regional where the crowbots where to compete. But the events have been postponed.
Friday 20/3: A fantastic day with sunshine and 33c. Niclas and I took half a day off and we headed to the boat for lunch. Oliver at home still not well but better. Lunch at the Sandbar and then fixing stuff on the boat before we left the berth at 15.00. Motored to a near by beach where we anchored up and had a swim (5 mins away from MHYC). Then off for some sailing. Headed out through the big heads, wind around 15 knots from west. Wind picked up and we as we headed back into the harbour it gusted 26. Warm winds though. Don’t remember any day with such hot air when sailing RaRa. NE winds and no mooring at quarantine station meant we headed to Chinamans beach and anchored on the south side.
Dinner onboard and a lovely evening. Swimming and hanging around the boat. Water is around 23 and the air was 31 at 19.30. The southerly hit at around 20.00 and cooled the air down a little. Watched the starts from the dinghy.

21/3 Saturday: A fantastic start to the day as we had a morning swim in to the beach after breakfast, about 100 metres each way? Upon return to the boat, the ice cream boat and we had a well deserved ice cream each. After lunch we motored in to the marina and filled up on drinking water then off sailing down the harbour.

Sailed south towards the city, rounded a cruise ship in Athol bay and then headed back towards Rose bay. No pinkies available and we found one at Shark beach. Moored up but it was far to choppy for comfort and we motored north along land. Found a new pinky at Camp cove beach where we moored for the night.

22/3 Sunday: After a morning swim and breakfast we motored back to MHYC to pick up Fred, Erin, Evan and Mel for a day on the harbour. Set sail outside Middle head and then sailed east out the heads. Not much wind as we headed south and waves and we headed back in to the Harbour. Moored up on the same pinky as we had overnight and had lunch. After a lovely day we sailed back to the marina to beat the sea breeze which was forecast over 25 knots. Back ashore at 3 pm. Fred and Erin stayed for a while before we all headed home.
