24-25 January Friday twilight

24 January Friday:

We met at the boat just before 6 pm. After getting the boat ready we headed off from the marina at 6.30. NE, 10 knots, light winds and we set sail outside Balmoral. Sailed to Manly and checked the pinkies at Quarantine station and Manly cove but they where all full (8 in total). Sailed south up the harbour instead. Watched the large cruise ship ‘Ovation of the seas’ leave the harbour. We found a free pink bouy in Chowder bay. Lots of fishing men around. A quiet evening apart from watching a late tennis match on TV.

25 January Saturday:

Breakfast onboard and then we headed off sailing down the harbour. Checked out shark bay and hermit bay before we found a pink bouy free in Rose bay. Swimming, sunbathing and lunch before heading back north to MHYC. Sailed on and off the mooring. Left rose bay at 13.30.

Arrived back at MHYC at 14.30 just as the wind dropped. Packed up the boat and went home at 15.30.

26 Jan Sunday: Australia Day

Spent the day at MHYC with Stina and Alice. Breakfast, swimming and lunch. Fika on the boat and some maintenance.
